The wooded valley of the River Rivelin on the north-west edge of the city, with the Rivelin Valley Nature Trail following the river past the remains of around twenty water-powered mills and their dams. Rivelin Valley Road is famous for its avenue of lime trees planted in 1906. Rivelin Dams reservoirs sit at the top of the valley below the moors.
