Norfolk Park

One of the country's earliest public parks, opened in 1848 on land given by the Duke of Norfolk, on the hillside east of the station. Queen Victoria visited in 1897. Its avenues of trees and the neighbouring Cholera Monument Grounds give wide views back over the city.
