River Loxley

The river of the Loxley valley in the north-west, flowing from Bradfield through Damflask to join the Rivelin at Malin Bridge and the Don at Owlerton. The 1864 flood tore down this valley. Local tradition claims Loxley as the birthplace of Robin Hood, Robin of Loxley.
