The Hallamshire

The Royal Hallamshire Hospital, the tower-block teaching hospital on Glossop Road opened in 1978, next to the university and Weston Park. It handles neurology, cancer, the Jessop Wing maternity unit and much of the city's specialist medicine. Not to be confused with the historic district of Hallamshire.
