The industrial museum on Kelham Island, opened in 1982 in a former power station, telling the story of Sheffield's steel, tools and cutlery. Its star exhibit is the River Don Engine, a 12,000 horsepower steam engine built in 1905 to drive an armour-plate rolling mill, which is still run in steam for visitors. Little Mesters work in the museum's workshops.
