A preserved water-powered scythe and steel works on the River Sheaf at Abbeydale, dating largely from the eighteenth century, with tilt hammers, a grinding hull, workers' cottages and one of the last surviving crucible steel furnaces. Run as a museum by Sheffield Museums, with regular working days.
