The tall Gothic spire on the hill above Norfolk Park and the station, in the Cholera Monument Grounds, commemorating the 402 people who died in the cholera epidemic of 1832 and were buried there. It was designed by M.E. Hadfield and completed in 1835. The grounds give one of the best views over the city centre.
