The nickname for Castle Square, a sunken pedestrian roundabout with subways, shops and a famous fish tank, opened in 1967 at the junction of High Street, Angel Street and Arundel Gate. Loved and loathed in equal measure, it was filled in in 1994 to make way for Supertram. It survives in local memory, in Pulp lyrics and in countless nostalgic photographs.
