The wide old street running north-east from Lady's Bridge out of the city centre, crossed by the Wicker Arches, the Grade II* listed 660-yard railway viaduct built in 1848 for Victoria Station. The Wicker was badly flooded in 1864 and again in June 2007. It is one of the oldest street names in the city.
