Your Sheffield starting point
Local places, practical tips and useful links to help you make a plan.
A Sheffield home for drag audiences, performers and people discovering the scene for the first time. Find relevant shows and cabaret, share a performer’s work and keep the conversation going between nights. Look at the style of a show and its line-up: drag can offer comedy, lip-sync, live performance, character, spectacle and combinations of all of them.
Discover a Sheffield creative scene
Cryptid Queers is a Sheffield project created by King Confuza, with alternative drag events and Camp Cryptid workshops for emerging performers. Its own programme is a useful route into the darker, more experimental side of local drag. Follow the event details for the actual venue and format; a producer can work across different spaces. The Goth and Music communities offer related discoveries without assuming that every drag show shares the same audience or sound.

Enjoy the show and support the people making it
Check the age policy, seating arrangements and whether a ticket includes any food or other activity. Respect the host’s guidance on photography and audience participation. When recommending a night, name the performers and link to their own work or the organiser’s listing. If you are interested in performing, look for an advertised workshop, open call or newcomer opportunity rather than assuming a ticketed show has open stage time. Share public memories with the people pictured in mind.
