  • Step-free access From the OpenStreetMap wheelchair tag on a venue, and the access field on a place that helps.
  • Distance to a tram, bus or rail stop From the stored NaPTAN stop list and the coordinates already held for each place.

Across the whole site, 20 of 1,107 buildings have had their door recorded either way. Through those, 38 listings can borrow an answer. Everything else is genuinely unknown to us, and this page will keep saying so until somebody surveys it.

Not recorded anywhere yet, so not offered

These have no filter, on purpose. A box that always returns nothing would read as "Sheffield has none of these", which is not what the data says. The data says nobody has written them down.

Where these answers come from

Step-free records come from OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database Licence, and from the help providers themselves. Stop locations come from the Department for Transport NaPTAN dataset under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Walking distances are straight-line from the stop to the place, so a real walk round a junction or up a hill will be longer.

If you run a venue and the access record here is wrong or missing, the quickest fix for everyone is to correct it on OpenStreetMap, because every other map in the city reads from it too.
