This Accounts Apprenticeship offers an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience, develop key industry skills, and build a strong foundation for your professional future in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The role: Daily reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier statements, and company credit cards Processing supplier invoices, including matching them to purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving pricing/quantity issues, and processing credit notes Raising supplier payments via online banking and sending remittance advice Chasing unreconciled and historic outstanding items Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, and quarterly VAT returns Managing and maintaining accurate financial records using Xero accounting Maintaining the product cost file and implementing the soft drinks industry levy within Xero Assisting with monthly stock counts and providing ad hoc financial support to the line manager Serving as a point of contact for inbound telephone calls and email enquiries, liaising with logistics planning for customer service Processing customer orders, including communicating requirements across teams Supporting decisions related to customer credit limits, payment terms, and new account applications Preparing regular customer invoicing and financial reports for internal stakeholders General office duties, including processing and packing online orders
Training: The successful candidate will undertake a full review of their existing skills versus what is required in their new role. First Intuition will then advise on the best apprenticeship programme for them. This will be a structured AAT Apprenticeship programme at Level 3. A blend of classroom and online training will support the candidate to achieve a well-recognised accountancy qualification which will both help with their new role and potentially lead on to further study.
After the apprenticeship: An opportunity to develop broader knowledge & skills of running a small premium beverage business with further focus on commercial sales.
