The Old Queen’s Head has a long-running venue tradition about an elderly drinker seen or sensed beside its stone fireplace, still holding his beer jugs. Another tale describes a child tugging visitors’ hair.
No identity or date is securely attached to either figure, so the stories are labelled folklore. The building is a working pub: visit as a customer during opening hours, not as an uninvited investigator.
