The Infamous Bunting Nook Ghost Tour: Fifth Anniversary Special

Public footpath beside St James Church, Norton, Sheffield, S8 8JQ

Five years after his very first Sheffield ghost tour on 29 October 2021, Adrian Finney goes back to where it all began with an anniversary walk along Bunting Nook, often called one of England’s most haunted roads. Expect the ghostly aircraft said to pass overhead, the trickster spirit supposedly buried nearby and the giant black dog with eyes of flame said to have stalked this part of Sheffield for close to a thousand years. The route runs through parts of Graves Park and on through Norton, past some atmospheric 18th-century buildings. It starts at 8pm on the public footpath beside St James Church, Norton (S8 8JQ), and the what3words is tiny.tummy.warns. Free on-street parking is available at both ends, and Adrian suggests parking at the bottom of Matthew’s Lane on Norton Church Road (S8 8GZ). The route is under a mile and fully accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters, with a few steeper sections. Advance tickets are £14 for adults (14+) and £9 for under-14s, or £15 and £9 on the night. Only tickets bought through Eventbrite are valid.
