The Headless Woman of Dead Man’s Lane

An overgrown Ecclesall route remembered as Dead Man’s Lane accumulated two traditions: circles in the grass associated with fairies and a headless woman said to haunt the lane.

The old route and later road names are not straightforward to align, so the map uses a deliberately approximate point around Highcliffe Road rather than identifying a modern home. Please do not use the story as a reason to enter private drives or gardens.
