If you’ve been to a festival, a Pride march or a club night in Sheffield lately, there’s a fair chance you’ve looked up – way up – and seen William gliding above the crowd on his seven-foot giant unicycle. He’s one of the city’s most joyful street performers, and we think he’s exactly the kind of grass-roots talent Sheffield Events exists to champion.
Who is William Unicycle?
William is a Sheffield-based performance artist who rides a towering giant unicycle at events across the city and beyond. Friendly, playful and endlessly adaptable, he can turn a family fun day colourful and gentle one afternoon and bring high-energy spectacle to a nightclub or Pride stage the next. He’s a magnet for photos, video and the kind of “did you see that?” moments that spread on social media.
He performs at festivals and parades, venue launches and brand activations, corporate conferences, charity days, arts events and student gatherings – anything from a short walkabout to a full day on site. For businesses he also offers proper promotional muscle: QR-code and leaflet distribution as he moves through the crowd, and branded clothing for corporate bookings, so your message travels with the show.
