Aquifer: Porter Brook, Malham Sound, sleepsang, Ol. G
Gut Level
Aquifer returns for it’s second expedition, after a successful maiden voyage with live electronic experimentalists Egg Meat.
The Aquifer sound explores dubby, uptempo and atmospheric sonics, dredging the deep underground well of low end psychedelia: from techno through to footwork-electro and minimal dnb.
Residents Sleepsang & Ol. G provide hypnotic, driving and unexpected selections, thoroughly prepping the submersible for a midnight dive. Next, Trip the Light MCR artist Malham Sound lowers our vessel through a gradually warming current of refined, forward-momentum preserving eclectic techno. Check out TTL Mix 023 for an idea of what to expect.
Drifting deeper, Groundwork alum and Second Born mainstay Porter Brook pitches us down to an abyssal zone of atmospheric bass pressure, cataloguing each skittering lifeform with mechanical precision. Northern ravers will already be familiar with Porter Brook’s mesmerising curation – a regular at No Bounds festival, with a release on Al Wootton’s TRULE, this will be special.
