Common Thread: Sorting, Sifting and Sign Making

Showroom Cinema, Sheffield, S1 2BX

Common Thread are a community-based organisation operating in and around Sheffield, South Yorkshire who organise regular clothes exchanges to help reduce, reuse and recycle clothes, give wardrobes a re-fresh and help to provide an alternative to nasty unsustainable fast fashion. We will be meeting Jess and her team to help sort clothes into categories to help them get ready for the next clothes exchange. The project takes place in Union Street, which is nice and close to The Showroom Cinema, meaning a short run and a decent amount of time being able to help the project out! Address: Union St 18-20 Union Street Sheffield S1 2JP Risks: Anyone who suffers with dust allergies might want to bring antihistamines due to the clothing fibres the building is old and has many flights of stairs, the toilets are on the second floor.
