Sidney & Matilda Presents:

Pink Opaque
+ Special Guests

It might look dark outside, but Pink Opaque are here to generate light –  through 70s disco vibes, 80s synth tones, 90s dance beats, timeless indiepop hooks and a sparkly guitar. It’s good honest electronica from Yorkshire with a glittery face and a messy human heart. We call it futurepop. The point is joy
as praxis.

Formed in 2024 in Sheffield, Pink Opaque comprise Danielle Cope (vocals) and Pete Green (all the other stuff). After kicking around the indiepop scene for years in The Sweet Nothings, the duo caved in to their lifelong love of electro pop and set out to combine the processes of writing, recording, producing and releasing music using a single laptop, while having as much fun as possible playing live.

Pulsing through the bleeps and beats come the band’s jumble of lyrical preoccupations: video games, dancing, love, neurospiciness, genderspiciness, glitter, retrofuturism and digital amnesia.
