Moving manure for Bloom 🌸🪱💩

Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments, Sheffield, S8 9HY

Bloom has a community garden that provides a place where women and non-binary people can take care of their mental health and wellbeing, learn about flowers and gardening, and feel less isolated. They have 8 tonnes of manure being delivered that needs to be wheelbarrowed from the car park to the community garden. Many attendees don’t have the strength for tasks such as this. It will make such a big difference to the soil and how many flowers we can grow next year. As there will be service users there, this session is only open to women and non-binary people This task involves shovelling mulch into wheelbarrows and moving it down a hill to the garden. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring waterproof clothing and gardening gloves. One of Bloom’s staff will meet us at the bottom gate on Carfield Lane at the start of the session. This is heavy work, so you will need to be fairly strong 💪 Run by GoodGym. Book with GoodGym; times and prices are theirs.
