Gotobeat is proud to bring Lady Leshurr’s Queen’s Speech 10 Year Anniversary tour to Sidney & Matilda, Sheffield on Wednesday 21st October.

Malesha O’Garro, known as Lady Leshurr, is a rapper and producer whose oft-confrontational rhymes are belied by a buoyant melodicism. The native of Birmingham, England made her recorded debut in the early 2000s, during her early teenage years, with the first of numerous mixtapes — her primary format — and has since refined her witty and sometimes high-speed wordplay while drawing from U.K. garage and grime.

After she fended off multiple labels that dangled offers with too many artistic compromises, O’Garro reached a broader audience on her own in 2015, when the one-take video for the fourth episode in her “Queen’s Speech” series went viral with plays numbering in the tens of millions. Five “Queen’s Speech” tracks were compiled in 2016, the year she signed to major label.
