Hillsborough, Sheffield: a local guide to the park, the football and what is on
Hillsborough guide: Hillsborough Park and its walled garden, Sheffield Wednesday's ground, Tramlines in July, the tram through the middle, and what is…
480 gigs (464 free) · 41 venues · 9 days
470 from the official programme, plus 10 independent events we've tracked down
The Fringe at Tramlines is Sheffield’s free festival-within-a-festival. While Tramlines fills Hillsborough Park, hundreds of free gigs take over the rest of the city from 23rd to 26th July 2026: pubs turning into all-day venues, breweries and beer halls booking swing bands, DIY spaces running punk marathons, gardens hosting folk sessions, and the open-air Fringe Stage on Devonshire Green anchoring it all.
This is the most comprehensive Fringe guide anywhere. We list the official programme in full, act by act with set times, and we add the unofficial side the official listings leave out: the alternative festivals, afterparties and free parties that independent venues run under their own steam over Tramlines weekend. Everything is here in one place, whether or not it carries the official badge.
No wristbands, no fences and, with a handful of ticketed exceptions, nothing to pay: just walk in. Filter by day, search for an act, and use the venue maps to plan a crawl. Each event links to its own page with times, the venue’s location and what else is on nearby.
