A dimension is the percentile rank of the mean of its available input ranks and needs at least two inputs; the overall score is the mean of the scored dimensions. Points are placed by point-in-polygon against the Data for Action boundaries; per-head figures use Census 2021 residents for neighbourhoods with their own census areas; noise shares sample an even grid of points inside each polygon against the Defra Lden bands; distances are straight lines from the polygon centre. The ground beneath Heeley

At the centre of Heeley the bedrock is the Pennine Lower Coal Measures Formation: mudstone, siltstone, sandstone, coal, ironstone and ferricrete, Carboniferous, Langsettian (Westphalian A), about 316 to 314 million years ago, on the BGS 1:625 000 bedrock map (unit PSLCM). The 1:625 000 map is a regional overview generalised from more detailed sheets: it describes the ground under a neighbourhood as a whole and is not a site investigation.
